Bishop’s Palace (Palacio Episcopal)

The Palacio Episcopal stands beside Murcia’s Cathedral on Plaza del Cardenal Belluga and is one of the city’s finest examples of Baroque‑rococó architecture, originally built in the 18th century as the bishop’s residence and now the official seat of the Diócesis de Cartagena.

While the palace is primarily an administrative building, visitors can appreciate its impressive exterior and central courtyard; at times there are special visits or events that allow glimpses of the grand staircase, cloister and other interior spaces, and seasonal displays such as the municipal nativity scene are hosted there.
