Murcia is the regional capital and the largest city in the Region of Murcia, but it still feels manageable on foot once you are in the centre. The cathedral, Belluga area, Real Casino, traditional squares and busy tapas streets give the city plenty to see without the pace of a much bigger Spanish city. The Segura and its gardens also soften the centre and make it an easy place to walk.
