Teatro Romea

Teatro Romea is Murcia’s main historic theatre and one of the city’s best-known cultural landmarks. Standing on Plaza Julián Romea, it has been part of the city’s theatre life for more than 150 years and remains an active performance venue today.

Even if you are not seeing a show, it is worth stopping for the façade and the setting. The theatre helps give this part of the old centre its sense of civic and cultural importance.
