Tower La Azohia (Torre de Santa Elena)

The Tower of La Azohía (Torre de La Azohía) stands on the coastline near Cartagena and was built as part of a network of watchtowers designed to protect the area from pirate attacks. Positioned above the bay, it offered clear views along the coast and early warning of approaching ships. Today, the tower is mainly appreciated for its setting rather than its interior, which is not generally open to visitors, and for the views it provides over the sea and surrounding coastline, making it a worthwhile stop when exploring La Azohía.
