Alhama de Murcia’s main feria runs from 2 to 12 October 2026, celebrating the Virgen del Rosario with music, fairground rides, daytime festivities and a float parade. You do not need to commit to a whole weekend: choose the part that most appeals to you, leave time for something to eat and build your visit around it.

Saturday 10 October is a strong choice for a first visit, particularly if you want to stay into the evening. There is a substantial gap between the parade and concert, so plan a meal between them rather than expecting one event to lead straight into the other.
The Feria de Día
The daytime celebrations take place in the marquee on Calle Paraguay, between the indoor swimming pool and the Adolfo Suárez sports pavilion.
It opens on 3, 4, 7, 9, 10 and 11 October, from 13:00 to 20:00, with an earlier finish at 18:30 on 10 October. This is a practical option if you would rather enjoy an afternoon out than wait for a late concert.
Choose your meeting point carefully: the daytime marquee and Nueva Espuña fairground are different locations. Save the venue for the activity you want rather than simply navigating to “Alhama feria”.
Visiting with children
On 5 and 8 October, fairground rides are advertised at €1.50 from 19:00 to midnight, excluding the attraction described as the atracción novedad. On 12 October, the advertised offer is two ride tickets for the price of one during those hours.
Check the offer at each ride before paying. With younger children, a shorter visit built around one main activity may work better than staying for a late concert.
Make time for Alhama itself
The Museo Arqueológico Los Baños is worth considering before the festivities. It preserves Roman baths and traces their later use during the Islamic period and by the nineteenth-century spa hotel. Check its opening hours for your chosen day before adding it to your plans.
A museum visit, lunch and an afternoon at the feria make a manageable day trip. If you have more time, use Alhama as a gateway to Sierra Espuña Regional Park or save the mountain for a separate day when the feria is not your main focus.
Getting there, parking and staying over
Decide which venue you are visiting before choosing where to leave the car. For the parade, park away from its starting area and walk in, following any temporary signs on the day. Allow extra time to find a space.
If you are staying for an evening performance, plan your journey home first. An overnight stay can be useful if you are travelling from farther away. Compare the walking route to your chosen venue, parking and cancellation terms before booking.
