Phoenician Ship Interpretation Centre

The Phoenician Ship Interpretation Centre in Puerto de Mazarrón explains the discovery of the ancient Phoenician ships found off Playa de la Isla. The exhibition includes audiovisual material, models, panels and a reproduction of the vessel, helping place the finds in their wider Mediterranean context.

It is a compact visit, but an important one if you want to understand why Mazarrón matters archaeologically. The boats found here are among the oldest Phoenician ship remains discovered in the Mediterranean.
